Best Mexican restaurant in Sanford and surrounding! The food is amazing has a great authentic taste, it is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have had in North Carolina, the drink and cocktails are amazing as well! Definitely recommend this place if you are anywhere near the area.

After working a long shift, I was very excited to try Fonda Lupita again. Unfortunately, I was served by a waitress/staff member with a horrible attitude who was disrespectful. The food is always delicious and I've never had a problem until today. We Latinos are always known for having a positive attitude and customer service, Jessica should fix her attitude so that this great restaurant doesn't get a bad name. Thank you Fonda Lupita for the delicious food today!
Adorable little spot with great ambiance and delicious food. I hiked out here from Raleigh for reports of a birria ramen. As a connoisseur of both ramen and the area I knew I had to go!
Birria broth for the ramen was so flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The ramen noodles were springy, al dente with just the right amount of bite. The portion was large. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with a quesabirria on the side to dip in the broth so I ordered a quesadilla on the side and it was a great choice. Next time I'll order the quesabirria to go with the birria ramen!
Drinks were tasty with great presentation. The margarita came in a massive goblet.
I love that it's a locally-owned spot. As you enter to order, all of which happens at the register no menus at the table, there are super nostalgic South American and Central American candies on display.
This is a great little place and I look forward to visiting again!

Overall, it was not what I expected. Tiktok and Facebook groups may have hyped it too much. BIRRIA RAMEN was great, but my whole family was not a fan of the tacos. My Fiance got the burrito, and the portion was laughable. No napkins on the tables, notable mention everything was self serve. The menu did not have any pictures. The menu that was a QR code showed more options with no pictures, really. Overall, it was harder for my older family members to make an ordering decision.
Too many food items to choose from, all delicious. I always try something different, today I had the Birria ramen, oh my gosh…so flavorful. Food served hot, delicious and customer service the best. Great drink menu
